JE, Pi-tousan Day
Title: Pi-tousan Day [Yamapi/Jin]
Rating/Warnings: PG for unmitigated sap.
Summary: Jin came by with a surprise for Yamapi.
AN: For Father’s Day! Which they don’t have in Japan so far as I know, but pffft, they don’t have Gackt-chan either, so *shrug*
Pi-tousan Day
“Got a visitor,” Ryo said as Yamapi was toweling the sweat off his head, and Yamapi tugged the towel off and shook his damp hair out of his eyes to blink at him.
Ryo was trying to force down a smile, not quite managing it at the corners of his mouth, and Yamapi whipped around to look because only one person put that expression on Ryo’s face.
Well, two people now.
Sure enough, over in one of the chairs in front of the monitors, half-hidden by the dim lighting off-stage, Jin was out cold, slumped down so that his head could rest against the back of the chair. Tucked safely against Jin’s chest in her bright pink baby snuggly, Gackt-chan was sleeping too, fists and eyes screwed up tightly.
Yamapi palmed Gackt-chan’s warm, soft head gently, stroking the fuzz there, and wondered if Jin was going to survive going back to work in a few weeks, as exhausted as he’d been just from watching Gackt-chan.
“Mm, Pi?” Jin was stirring, blinking up at Yamapi with sleepy eyes, hair crushed flat on one side from the chair. He sat up a little, reaching up to rub his face. “What time is it?”
“After one,” Yamapi answered, reaching down to pull the straps off the snuggly off of Jin’s arms. He put his own arms through the straps and settled Gackt-chan against his own chest while Jin stretched, both of them wincing as Jin’s back cracked. “But we’re done. Want to get dinner?”
“We brought you dinner,” Jin said, reaching down to unhook a plastic convenience store bag from the arm of his chair. He chuckled. “It’s probably all warm and gross now. I meant to give it to you during one of your breaks, but…”
“I didn’t really have any,” Yamapi agreed ruefully, stroking Gackt-chan’s back when she stirred and flailed her fists a little.
“So we were just sitting here, watching you,” Jin waved at the monitors, now showing the set empty except for Shige and Koyama trying to work out a timing issue in one of the steps. “I must’ve drifted off. Sorry, Pi.”
“For what?” Yamapi leaned over to snag the bag out of Jin’s hand while Jin was muffling a yawn. He peeked inside and grimaced at the contents. Definitely warm and gross. Sweet, though. “I’m glad you came.”
“We’re supposed to celebrate, but it’s after midnight, so we missed it.” Jin tugged his shirt back down where it had ridden up from him stretching. He tilted his head a little to smile at Yamapi when Yamapi just stared. “Y’know, for Father’s Day.”
“Jin-chan,” Yamapi gave a little toss of his head to flick his hair out of his eyes, “is this one of those foreign things again?”
“Kinda, but it’s good this time,” Jin insisted, and when he smiled like that Yamapi was inclined to agree. Jin took a couple steps closer to slide his arm around Yamapi’s waist and tucked his head in against Yamapi’s shoulder. “We’re kind of weird, but there isn’t a Pi-tousan Day, so this’ll have to do.”
“What did you just call me?” Yamapi brought one of his hands up to rub the curve where Jin’s neck and shoulder met; Jin melted under the touch with a sigh.
“Pi-tousan,” Jin murmured. “Like I’m her Okaasanishi.”
“Those names are ridiculous,” Yamapi said, smiling in spite of himself. “Her name is ridiculous. This whole entire thing is completely ridiculous.”
“That’s so, Pi-tousan.” Jin’s nod made his hair brush over Yamapi’s cheek. “C’mon, I’ll buy you dinner again.”
“Come over,” Yamapi tightened his grip so that he was rubbing his cheek against Jin’s hair for real, “and I’ll make you breakfast.”
“I think that’s how we got into this entire completely ridiculous thing,” Jin teased, straightening up and pulling away with a last skim of his fingers across the small of Yamapi’s back. His grin was wide and bright and still soft with sleep, and even though Yamapi was completely jealous of the way Jin already had most of his waist back, right then he didn’t want anything more than to cover Jin’s almost-waist with his hands and press close to that grin.
But this was the set and not his apartment, so Yamapi wrapped his arms tight around Gackt-chan and hugged her tightly to keep from doing exactly what he wanted to.
“So,” he said when they were waiting for the taxi Jin had called, “when’s Okaasanishi Day?”
“How’s today looking for you?” Jin asked, then laughed when Yamapi dropped Gackt-chan into his arms, snuggly and all.

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Gackt-chan has always had a special place in my heart. Hopefully you’ve found them, but there’s a whole bunch of other Gackt-chan fics. They should all be tagged together.
Thanks again!
