Snow Man, Took It Too Far
Title: Took It Too Far [Watanabe/Miyadate]
Rating/Warnings: G
Summary: Watanabe’s prank on Miyadate goes a little too far.
AN: Written for Shiritori. In Wink up Miyadate told a story about how Nabesho and Kame pranked him telling him they were at the onsen together when really they had just bumped into each other backstage after watching the same show, but then they told him to come meet them at the theater. Mean! I’m sure Date forgave them though
Took It Too Far
“You’re a JERK,” Miyadate said, arms crossed tight across his chest so that Watanabe couldn’t grab for his hand or put an arm through Miyadate’s.
“Aw, come on, you can’t still be sulking,” Watanabe said, leaning in against Miyadate’s side. They were waiting for the train, the platform cold and windy, but just this once Miyadate didn’t let Watanabe sneak under his arm for warmth. “Awww, it’s been hours!”
“It was mean.” Miyadate eyed Watanabe. “A senpai being a jerk is one thing, but you?”
“Ryotaaaaa,” Watanabe whined. “We took you out to dinner and everything! Anyway, it wasn’t my idea, blame your precious Kamenashi-kun.”
Miyadate grunted. The train arrived a minute later, the last leg of their long trip home, late enough that they had the car nearly to themselves excepting the commuting student whose face was buried in his phone. They settled on seats next to each other, shoulders pressed together from habit. Watanabe’s voice was a little quieter when he asked, “Are you mad for real?”
Miyadate heaved a sigh, shoulders slumping. “No. But it didn’t feel good. Jerk,” he added again for good measure, but it wasn’t that convincing.
“I’m sorry, huh?” Watanabe coaxed Miyadate’s arms loose and hooked an arm through Miyadate’s elbow. “It’s cute when you pout, though. Out of curiosity, which of us were you jealous of? That I was on a trip with him, or that he’d be hanging out with me in the onsen?”
“You know the answer to that,” Miyadate answered with a click of his tongue. “So how are you going to make it up to me?”
“Mm, well.” Watanabe tucked himself in even tighter against Miyadate’s side. “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s get you home and warmed up and then we’ll talk.”
