Lost and Found

“Liam-senpai? What are you looking for him for?” Opal cocks his head to the side, the beads in his hair clinking.

“No reason.” Topaz fiddles with the fraying edge of the tape wrapped around his crosse.

“He’s so mmrphle,” Opal says as Peridot slaps a hand over his mouth.

“Cranky,” Peridot says diplomatically. Topaz sighs a little and swings his feet on the bench, feeling a bit cranky himself at how his feet still just barely reach the ground.

“He’s not cranky,” Topaz says quietly. “He’s just…”

In my fucking way, you giant cock receptacle, Pearl snaps, making everybody turn towards the doorway where Liam is glowering down at a completely uncowed Pearl.

“Liam!” calls Topaz happily, then flushes when Opal and Peridot snicker.

“I’ve got your math book,” Liam grunts after a second, looking a bit flustered, or at least that’s maybe what it seems like when Topaz sneaks, another look out of the corner of his eye. “You left it in the, uh,”

“Love hotel?” Opal mutters, and Peridot has to cover his mouth with one hand for the fakest cough ever.

“Library,” Liam growls, and if Topaz had ears like the people in Jasper’s porn, they’d be flat against his head but in kind of a good way.

“Thanks,” Topaz murmurs hopping off the bench and striding past the others to take the book from Liam’s hand. He smiles up at Liam hopefully. “Can I buy you ramen to make up for it?”
